Aldar Partners with Siemens to Pioneer Abu Dhabi’s First Smart District at Saadiyat Grove

Aldar Properties (Aldar) today announced a groundbreaking partnership with Siemens to transform Saadiyat Grove into a global leader in smart urban living. This announcement was made at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi, marking a significant milestone in real estate development.

Aldar Properties has partnered strategically with Siemens to develop Saadiyat Grove as Abu Dhabi’s premier innovative project. Utilizing Siemens’ cutting-edge Xcelerator technology and cloud-based Building X platform, this partnership will introduce the UAE’s first innovative district management system. This innovation aims to enhance living standards, reduce emissions, and streamline operations, establishing a new benchmark for smart, sustainable living.

Saadiyat Grove, an integrated mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi’s cultural heart, is set to become a global model for intelligent, sustainable urban planning. By collaborating with Siemens, Aldar will implement the UAE’s first cloud-based intelligent district management system across the entire community. This system will leverage Siemens’ Xcelerator portfolio and its cloud-based Building X platform to provide state-of-the-art energy analytics, supporting significant emission reductions in alignment with Aldar’s Net Zero Plan.

The system’s features will enhance the quality of life for residents and efficiency for commercial tenants. IoT sensors will monitor environmental parameters such as air quality and noise levels, while AI technologies will enhance security and maintenance processes. Additionally, the system will include digital twins of the district to optimize operational efficiencies.
