Dubai South Properties Entrusts Al Kharafi Construction with AED 1.5 Billion Contract for South Bay’s New Phases

The landmark deal marks a significant step in the expansion of the South Bay project, introducing world-class living standards to the UAE

Dubai South Properties, a leading real estate developer in the United Arab Emirates, has officially announced the awarding of an AED 1.5 billion ($408 million) contract to Al Kharafi Construction for the development of the third, fourth, and fifth phases of the ambitious South Bay project. This announcement follows the launch of the project’s fourth phase, which is poised to introduce 138 luxury units, including three to five-bedroom villas and an exclusive selection of seven-bedroom mansions, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2027.

Nabil Al Kindi, CEO of Dubai South Properties, expressed confidence in the appointed contractor’s expertise, emphasizing that it would contribute significantly to realizing the project’s vision of offering premium living spaces. Al Kindi highlighted the project’s unique appeal, evidenced by the immediate sell-out of each phase upon release, underscoring South Bay’s distinctiveness in meeting the demand for high-end residences.

Situated in the heart of Dubai South’s Residential District along Expo Road, South Bay is set to feature over 800 villas and townhouses, more than 200 luxurious waterfront mansions, a 1-kilometre lagoon, and an expansive waterfront promenade lined with cafes and beaches. The project also plans to include a myriad of amenities such as a clubhouse, fitness centres, lush parks, a shopping mall, a renowned spa, kids’ clubs, waterparks, swimming pools, a lake park, and private beaches, promising an unmatched living experience.

This announcement comes on the heels of Dubai South’s recent collaboration with Aldar Properties to develop Grade A logistics facilities, further cementing Dubai South’s position as a key player in the UAE’s real estate and logistics sectors.
