Masdar City Announces Ambitious Dh3-4 Billion Projects in AI and Life Sciences
Significant Investment to Bolster Key Sectors and Enhance Global Business and Technological Hub Status
[ABU DHABI, UAE]: Masdar City, under the leadership of CEO Ahmed Baghoum, has announced an investment range of Dh3-4 billion in projects still in the design stage, focusing on crucial sectors such as energy, artificial intelligence (AI), space, life sciences, and agriculture. This announcement came during the first day of the World Future Energy Summit, indicating a robust expansion strategy.
The planned projects highlight Masdar City’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable development. Current projects under construction, including the Masdar City Complex and ‘The Link’, are valued at approximately Dh1 billion, with a completion target of mid-2025.
Ahmed Baghoum emphasized the strategic focus on sectors vital to Abu Dhabi and the broader UAE. “Masdar City is dedicated to spearheading energy, AI, space, life sciences, and agriculture developments. These sectors are pivotal for the region’s advancement and sustainability, aligning with our mission to attract top talent and foster significant partnerships,” said Baghoum.
The City actively engages with international firms to establish research centres within its precincts, further enhancing its status as a top-tier global business and technology hub. Masdar City offers enticing incentives such as full foreign ownership, no income tax, and free currency exchange, positioning it as a beautiful location for global businesses.
